I Can Read Your Mind

There is something so satisfying about making a spot on book recommendation.

At first it seems like making an educated guess. Usually it is a book I've read, possibly loved and held dear as a good read. So you hand over that name, hoping a new connection can be made between the new reader and this treasured title.

Then I wait.

And maybe a few days or a few weeks later, I see the person coming back and cringe inwardly, not knowing their response to the book. I wait, expectantly, hoping it worked out. And this time, it did.

With every success, I feel the excitement of being a reader and know the other person feels that way, too. This is part of my job. I LOVE it.
