Yes We Can!!!

The halls of the girls school are ringing with excited whispers, sudden yells, and almost tears. Teachers cluster whenever they pass other teachers, holding harried celebrations and discussions of this moment in history. People cry openly. People hug and cheer and are just giddy.

When was the last time people cried in happiness at the results of a presidential election? Or in public? Enmass?

So many walls were broken down with last night's victory of Barack Obama...he was right as was everyone who has said that last night and all that led up to it, THAT was change. And what a great thought to know there is only more to come.

Obama is stepping into a mess of an America, but with contiued support and enthusiasm, things will only continue to get better.

  2. jeremy was telling me he was listening to npr i believe and they were talking about how worldwide this feeling is, i even felt it in india (they were totally biased towards obama!). it is huge that america, labeled as a racist country, elected obama and other countries are looking towards change within their own walls and prejudices. so great!

  3. except now npr and mass hysteria are creating this idea that Obama needs to be SUPER safe and conscious of himself at all times...due to the inherent racism in our country...that scares the living BEEP out of me. Think of all the wonderful and progressive peaceful change people who have been....you know....

I'm keeping thoughts like these to a minimum because if thoughts become things...I want only the BEST and LONGEST LIFE AND CAREER for Barack Obama.
